Before
4.2 orders/day
After
11.8 orders/day
You changed the cover. Did it work? You probably don't know.
Most indie authors tweak their listing constantly — new keywords, a price drop, a fresh cover, ads on and off — and then stare at KDP reports trying to guess which change did what. Book Tracker keeps a clean timeline of every change and matches it against your daily sales curve, so you stop optimizing in the dark.
How it works
Step 1
Upload your KDP report
Drag in the XLSX you already download from KDP. We parse orders, KENP reads, and revenue by day.
Step 2
Log your changes
Price change, new cover, keyword swap, A+ content, ad campaign — tag the day it happened.
Step 3
See the before/after
The chart overlays your events on the sales curve so the impact is impossible to miss.
Step 4
Double down on what works
Measure actual lift in daily orders and KENP — then repeat the moves that moved the needle.

Orders, KENP & revenue
Chart all three metrics on the same timeline so you can see which lever moved which number.
Format & marketplace filters
Break down by Kindle, paperback, hardcover, or marketplace to isolate where a change actually landed.
Keyword rank overlay

Frequently asked questions
Where does the sales data come from?
You upload your KDP sales dashboard export (XLSX). Book Tracker parses orders, KENP reads, and revenue by day, format, and marketplace — no Amazon API access required.
What counts as an event?
Anything that might change your sales: price changes, cover updates, new keywords, category swaps, A+ content, ad launches, BookBub deals, podcast appearances. Log it, then watch the chart.
How is impact calculated?
Book Tracker compares the N-day window before an event to the N-day window after and shows the change in average daily orders and KENP reads — so you can see if a tweak actually moved the needle.
Can I filter by format or marketplace?
Yes. Break down trends by Kindle vs. paperback vs. hardcover, or by marketplace (US, UK, CA, etc.), so you can isolate exactly where a change landed.
How often should I re-upload KDP data?
Weekly is a good rhythm. The parser handles overlapping ranges and merges new days on top of what you already have.
Do I need an Amazon ASIN?
Not strictly — KDP reports are keyed by title. Adding the ASIN unlocks ranking overlays from the Keyword Tracker on the same chart.
