How KENP earnings work
When a Kindle Unlimited subscriber reads your book, you don't earn a per-copy royalty — you earn a small amount per KENP page (Kindle Edition Normalized Pages) actually read. Amazon funds a global “KDP Select Global Fund” every month and divides it across total page reads, so the per-page rate floats slightly each month. The US rate has hovered around $0.0040–$0.0048 for several years.

- 1Write longer books. A 600-page novel earns roughly 2× the KENP royalty of a 300-page novel per full read-through. Series + box sets dominate KU income for this reason.
